Meet Bill

I've spent much of my life chasing beauty.

Sometimes I found it standing at an easel with a paintbrush in my hand. Other times I found it behind a camera waiting for the perfect light. I found it thousands of feet above the earth as a member of the United States Army Parachute Team, the Golden Knights. I found it in quiet mornings across the Mississippi Delta, where I first learned to appreciate the beauty God had woven into His creation.

I was born in Drew, Mississippi, studied at Mississippi Delta Community College, and later attended the Ringling School of Art and Design. Throughout the years I've worked in painting, watercolor, photography, and other creative pursuits, always searching for ways to capture moments that often go unnoticed.

Then my life changed.

After facing heart and lung failure, I received the incredible gift of a heart and double-lung transplant. During those difficult months, I experienced God's faithfulness in ways I had never known before. He carried me through fear, suffering, healing, and hope. That journey reshaped not only my life but the reason I create.

Today my greatest desire isn't simply to make beautiful things. It's to point people toward the One who is beautiful.

Weaving has become a picture of that calling. Individual threads may seem ordinary by themselves, but when placed in the hands of a weaver they become something far greater than they could ever be alone. In much the same way, God has taken the threads of my own life—the victories, the failures, the adventures, the artwork, the skydiving, the transplant, and countless moments of grace—and woven them into a story that belongs to Him.

Through this website you'll find original artwork, photography, handwoven towels, and woven art, but more importantly you'll find the story of God's faithfulness. My hope is that every photograph, every painting, every woven piece, and every word serves as a small reminder that the Master Weaver is still at work.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the work, but even more, I hope you leave encouraged by the One who inspired it all.

“Reflections on New Life”, 72in x 40in, oil on linen.

Reflections on New Life was one of the first paintings I completed after my heart and lung transplant and rehabilitation. Inspired by the renewal of spring, it reflects the new life God graciously gave me. More than a landscape, it is a personal reminder of His faithfulness and the hope found in new beginnings.
